My Stuff

The theme I chose for my main ideas were depicting/showing how bab slavery was and all the horrible things that happened. Take for example my first three key points in my first post that states about the chronological order of the key points, with 6 key events. Now those events were horrible to wittness.

During the book I have chosen 3 important passages. These are them below:

1. “It was a white face beaming with the most kindly emotions; it was the face of my new mistress, Sophia Alud”. I chose this passage because it is interesting to hear this from a slave that he has never seen a slave owner this nice before, and that was new for me.

2. ” She was entirely unlike anny other white woman I had ever seen”. I chose this post for the same reason as the one above,it is interesting to hear this from a slave that he has never seen a slave owner this nice before, and that was new for me. 

3.”Besides, she was going to give me a pair of trousers”. I chose this post because it is amazing how greatful he is for just getting one pair of trousers.

The 6 things that I chose to be the most important events from the novel were in this chronological order:

1.Fredrick being separated from his mom(Pg 20) 

2. Fredrick watching his Aunt be whiped to death(Pg 23) 

3. When the overseer for Fredricks old plantacion told a boy that ran away that if he didn’t come out he will shot him, and then the kid came out and the overseer shot him and killed him anyways(Pg 27 and 28) 

4.When Fredrick was so happy to just recieve one new pair of pants(Pg 43) 

5. When Fredrick road on a boat to Baltimore for his new plantacion(Pg 44 and 45) 

6.And finally when he got to his new plantation he was suprised to see how nice his Mistress and his Master was(Pg 45 and 46)

Hey this is one12 going to talk to you about Darfur some more. Through out the
Darfur genocide not only the adults are dieing but the children are to. We can see through pictures and from the news the horrible killings that have gone on in
Darfur. You can see from this picture http://www.nyu.edu/bronfman/new/images/gallery/darfur_large.jpg that a first grader drew what these Janjaweed people are doing. These kids are drawing these Janjaweed people coming in on helicopters, plains, horses, camels, and trucks and killing all the Darfuri people in site. Whether it be bombing them, shooting them, or raping/ beating people until they die. These kids should not have to see their people die, and we need to do something about it.   

            The reason for me talking about this topic is because it is very important. I mean who as a child wants to experience this horrible tragedy. These kids are doing nothing wrong ranging in age from an infant to a young adult. These Darfuri people did nothing wrong in yet they are get punished. People are dieing and we need to do something.  

            This tragedy is going on in
Darfur killing many children and adults. To help stop this tragedy go to www.savedarfur.org and by as much save Darfur bracelets as you can all the money you spend on these bracelets goes to this fund. For some interesting facts/ life experiences go to www.voicesfromdarfur.org to see some of the Darfuri people talk about their experiences. Children are dieing in
